Valentino Garavani arrived in Paris at the age of 17 to study at the Ecole des Beaux Arts and the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture. He launched his brand in 1960 with the architect Giancarlo Giammetti in Italy taking example of those he knew in Paris. Its collection represented by its red notes seduces the biggest stars and sublimates the sensuality of women. The Italian House Valentino has become emblematic over time. The designer retired from the company in 2008 to make room for a group of investors and a new Artistic Director Pierpaolo Piccioli who brought an international dimension to the brand. The Valentino Garavani accessories line, worn by the legendary Rockstuds, is today very influential.
