Alexander McQueen
Alexander McQueen began his career as an apprentice with a well-known tailor at Saville Row, where he learned complete knowledges about clothes design. He then developed costumes in theaters. This style designed for the stage later became his signature. After graduating from the prestigious Central Saint Martins School, he became Givenchy Artistic Director before launching his revolutionary eponymous brand. The tortured artist reinvented the codes of fashion, pushed the boundaries and created real enchantment shows at each of his fashion catwalks. Its skull print has become emblematic of modern british fashion. The brand now belongs to the Kering Group and has named Sarah Burton as the new Artistic Director in 2010.
