The two designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez met while studying at Parson’s School of Design in New York. Their collaboration during their senior thesis became the first Proenza Schouler collection. Proenza Schouler’s name is built from the assimilation of their mother’s maiden name. Their creations have played an important role in the renewal of American fashion. Winner of many awards, the duo's talent keeps growing. In 2016, Judd Crane was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company.
